My brother started this page about a week ago looking for any kind of help to get his life back on track. Hello all! This is just a shot in the dark and I don’t really expect anything from this but every little bit helps!
In Nov 2014 I lost my job of 9 years in commercial packaging due to the drop in oil and gas and have been struggling ever since, finding a fulltime job was hard and I ended up using my credit card to pay rent and keep myself a float.
After 7 months of searching I ended up working 2 part time jobs while barely making ends meet, try as I may Scotiabank seems dead set on keeping me in the red with wild interest rates.
I’ve tried talking to them about consolidation and they said I would never be eligible for it. I now have a fulltime job doing basic carpentry but still cannot get ahead of my debt with all my other bills including a $1300 vet bill I’ve been working on that my FREE cat got when she had stomach surgery… The cat now has a monetary value of$1300…heheh
What my goal is to get rid of my debt and start driving again so I can start a career in residential construction doing concrete carpentry forming basements, unfortunately construction companies very rarely hire someone who doesn’t have their own mode of transportation to get to site and until my debt is gone it wouldn’t be feasible for me to get vehicle insurance and pay for fuel.
I’ll keep on aiming for this goal on my own but like I said I don’t expect much if anything from this but any little bit helps!
