I need a partial knee replacement. I need help. I am not one to normally ask for help, but I think I will need help this time. I have been having knee problems for over 2 years. I have already had arthroscopic knee surgery, injections and physical therapy but none of it worked. I am scheduled to have a partial knee replacement in November.
I was hoping to be able to work up until my surgery date. I don’t think it will be possible. The pain in my knee is horrible and it is getting hard to walk. I do a lot of walking and squatting on my job. Now, my good leg is giving me problems because I have been favoring the bad leg. I am probably going to have to take off a lot sooner than expected.
My job does not offer any type of benefits like paid time off or temporary disability, neither does Tennessee. So that places all of the burden on Paul. He has been working extra to try and cover everything. We have insurance, but will still have a large out-of-pocket amount to cover.
Plus, we will be missing my income for a few weeks. I plan on working for as long as I can. I also plan on going back to work as soon as I am able. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
