Ipsita , 27 years old, is the sole earning member of her family comprising of her retired father and an ailing mother. She worked in a private company and provided for her parents. From January 2018, Ipsita faced difficulty in breathing and had recurring fluid accumulation in her lungs.

After having been admitted to the hospital several times and having undergone various medical tests, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma (stage IV) and was asked to immediately undergo chemotherapy treatment.

With the limited funds she had and with the help of her extended family, she underwent 5 rounds of chemotherapy which ended in July 2018.

Due to prolonged absence from work during her treatment, Ipsita lost her job and now is unemployed. However, despite all of this, Ipsita continued with her treatment and on 1st November 2018, the doctors declared her cancer-free and Ipsita started to finally get back to normalcy.

However, it was short lived. On 15 November 2018, Ipsita had a stroke like attack and on further probing it was discovered that her cancer had resurfaced, and this time had attacked her brain.

The doctors have prescribed several rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplantation all of which will cost approximately INR 20,00,000 (Indian Rupees Twenty Lakh). Ipsita or her parents are not in a position to pay for the treatment and to raise funds for her, her cousins have initiated this fund raiser.
