Hi there,
Y’all know how much our Jax means to us….he is a rescue, Pitbull mix. Our stay in Costa Rica will be coming to an end as we slowly prepare our venture back to California. I have come across some barriers and I am realizing how much a Pitbull and or Pitbull mix, and many other breeds have to deal with uneducated biased decisions based on discrimination towards one of the best breeds ever.
Jax is almost a year, when we first rescued Jax he had severe case of mange also known as mites. His skin was raw, infected which also infected his eyes. Jax had also been abused. Jax today is healthy, loved and safe. He is our baby boy. I feel Jax rescued us.
Today, we encounter that flying him back with us will be tricky but doable. The only airline that will fly Jax back is a non passenger plane, only freight for cargo and live animals, this great airline is Avianca.
Delta, United, Alaskan, American airlines, will not accept Jax even if he is a Mix Pitbull. To fly Jax back on Avianca he will need a special aluminum crate, which is IATA CR82 compliant, we will also pay his ticket on the plane as cargo
. I have attached the pics to our quote and what the crate looks like. IMPACT CRATES, we’re the most affordable and the least in shipping…as Costa Rica doesn’t have this available to us here. I shopped eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon….and no shipping was available to CR.. if you know me, you know my love for our dog is immense. Please help in donating and/or Sharing this go fund me page.
