My Name is Shahzeb Khan, and I’m a senior at Lamphere High School.
In August of 2014, I was at my friends apartment and me and my friends started wrestling and i fell off the bed and fractured My C5. The accident left me paralyzed from the chest down and turned me into a quadriplegic .
After my fall I was rushed to Henry Ford Hospital where i stayed in the ICU from August to September and later was admitted to the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and stayed there until December of 2014.
When I came home I was unable to attend high school and missed my junior year. In the Fall of 2015 I was not able to start my senior year at school because of my health i was home bounded and took few classes online with a tutor who came to my house. Finally in 2016 I started my senior year and will be graduating this summer.
After my graduation i plan to attend Wayne State University where i will be studying law. Right now I have no means of transportation, and the school provides me with a school bus that comes and drops me off to the school. When I have to go to my doctors appointment the insurance company provides me with transportion.
However because i plan to go Wayne State University in the fall of 2017 and i dont have any means of transportation to go there. I would like to raise enough or the total amount of mone to buy the van so i have little debt to pay.
