In May of 2016 I started working on a project with four young men located in Kingston Jamaica. These young men all met at Alpha Boys Home, (an orphanage in Jamaica where they grew up).
The boys became good friends and were taught musical skills while they were at the orphanage. Ultimately, they because very good at their skills and became members of the Alpha Boys Band. While in the band, the boys began dreaming of forming a roots reggae band.
They held on to their dream and have made several attempts to realize said dream but were taken advantage of by those who came along the way to help them.
In getting to know the young men, I saw firsthand the exceptional gifts and talent that they have in music composition and felt very moved to assist them in any way that I could. As such, I took on the position as business manager for them and worked with them to get their dream off the ground.
To date, they have completed two four track EP that are currently being sold at all digital music stores such as Amazon, iTunes etc.. These tracks are being used to market and promote the band while they are in the studio working on completing the additional eight songs to be included on their debut album.
We are seeking funding to take this project to the next level.
Taking into consideration that the band have products available, we will provide all donors with a copy of one of our promotional singles.
