I am trying to raise money because I am a 39 year old single mother with a teenage daughter and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2015.

In 2014, I was a working nurse. One day after work I got really sick. I was sick for an entire month before the hospital finally admitted me. At that time, I was vomiting a lot, loosing vision in my left eye, and my motor skills were deteriorating.

When they finally admitted me to the hospital, they did an MRI and it showed that I had a brain tumor. My first thought was, “Am I going to die??” Rather than giving me hope, the doctor said nothing. Eventually they put me on a high dose of steroids to strengthen my legs because I was now having partial paralysis on my left side.

When I was dismissed from the hospital 4 months later, I am happy to say that the tumor was completely gone without surgery. However, I did not feel like I was cured, because I was still getting sick often, my legs were giving out on me when I tried to walk, and my vision would get so blurry that I could barely function. After much time of the poking, prodding, and testing, they came to the conclusion that I have Multiple Sclerosis.

Having Multiple Sclerosis has really affected my life in so many ways such as the diminished ability to work, and constant need to use a walker or wheel chair. My only income is disability, which has limited my financial means to buy groceries, pay rent, and provide for my daughter, Emani.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my story.
Please help me in any way that you are able, including sharing my GoFundMe account. I would be extremely appreciative.
