Hi, my name is David , I’m 34 years old and my wife and I have a severely disabled 8 year old daughter called Chloe (pictured). Both myself and my wife work for a living in between looking after our daughter.
I also have a mental disability – Asperger Syndrome (an autistic spectrum disorder) and find coping with life extremely challenging on a day-to-day basis. I’ve self-harmed on numerous occasions and regularly have suicidal thoughts when things get really bad.
I would like to make a very honest request that I feel highly embarrassed about making, but here goes. Ever since I was a child I’ve always wanted to own a Range Rover car/4×4 and over the years I’ve been totally obsessed with them and the dream of owning one.
I’ve never been able to afford even a used one and I get so incredibly depressed looking at them online and pouring over every single detail. I’ve only ever driven one once, after my wife Lara bought me an off-road experience day a number of years ago. This may sound very sad, but it was quite possibly one of the happiest days of my life, just behind getting married and the birth of our daughter Chloe.
Please could I kindly ask, if you might consider donating enough money to purchase a used one, which would make me so incredibly happy, lift the clinical depression that I’ve suffered with for a number of years, fulfil a life-long ambition and make a boyhood dream come true.
A new Range Rover costs around £76k, which I know is not realistic to ask for. However, for around £18k-£20k I could purchase a 5 or 6 year-old model from a reputable dealer, that had done a reasonable number of miles. I hope you might consider my very honest request, as it would make such a huge positive difference to my life and future.
I’ve written this request in floods of tears, as just means so much to me. Thank you for your time in reading this, which is very much apprecaited.
