Laid off September 2016. Still unemployed as of April 2017. Only 4 weeks of unemployment left. I am in massive debt, but now to top it off, my car’s transmission is giving me problems and will probably be rebuilt. Currently I have $42 to my name.
Being without a car is very problematic for me. I can’t go to interviews or doctor appointments. I have 2 interviews on Monday, April 10, 2017 in Albany and Latham. Tuesday an interview in Albany and a doctor’s appointment I cannot miss. That’s about 25 miles from where I live. I can rent a car for $250 for a week. I hope to raise that by Sunday so that I can get the car Monday morning.
The rest of the money I will use to help pay bills. Get my car looked at. Buy dog food. Pay my mortgage. I’ve got about $5,000 in back taxes and a $6,000 water bill the village won’t take any less than what the bill is. Now I don’t have a car.
People have been very helpful, but I feel terrible because it’s the same people all the time. They have gone above and beyond for me. I will always be grateful for them. Always.
People who know me know that I really have to be in trouble to reach out for help like this. I’m sorry I have to.
