a Spinal fusion. The ruptured discs resulted in some nerve damage to my legs and feet and drop foot of the left foot. This means I can only stand for about 15 min and walk for 100 ft with a cane. When shopping I must use a mobility scooters. In 2017 I spent most of the year in the hospital due to severe diverticulitis and colon blockages.
I had three surgeries resulting in 18 inches of colon being removed, along with one fallopian tube that was encased in scar tissue from the colon, and my appendix which was also compromised. I had a colostomy for several months after the first surgery along with needing a wound vac for the open wound.
During the second surgery my colon was reconnected and I was given an ileostomy in order to give my colon time to heal completely. After 6 weeks I had that reversed and spent the rest of the year recuperating. Because of this and reduced church members, I lost the part time job I’d had for 7 years at a local church. With no second income coming in other than my SSDI Diane and I were reduced to living off our credit cards for groceries and essentials.
On top of all this they have now doubled our rent. We are now in debt, both medical and financial to the tune of $20,000 and are scrounging to make our bills.
I also found out that I have sleep apnea and because the CPAP made it worse the pulmonologist has recommended a dental appliance to bring my lower jaw forward. This costs $1800 which insurance denied. So I am asking for donations to help with the bills from surgeries and the dental appliance.
Those of you that know me, know I am a kind, caring person with a great outlook on life and a quirky sense of humor. But this is starting to take a toll. I come from a long line of strong self-sufficient people so it is not easy for me to ask for help of any kind.
I am a free lance tee shirt designer https://www.teepublic.com/user/piglet01 Check out my page I get a nominal commission from any of my designs bought.
Any small amount will help and with God’s help we’ll come out of this.
Thank you.
