Hello Everyone: For those of you who have not met Larry Jr., he worked 20 years providing a service to the developmentally and intellectually handicapped individuals. His dream of managing a Bowling Pro shop came true. He is a certified youth bowling coach. He offers bowling lessons to children and adults, including several intellectually challenged individuals.
Larry and Marcia raised 5 children and survived the nightmare of burying a son 2 years ago. They are raising their granddaughter as seen in the picture with them. They have no resources to fall back on. He needs financial help due to two (2) medical issues that recently developed. The week after Thanksgiving, he was on the surgical table where a stint was inserted in his left heart artery which was 90% clogged. His recovery was going great except for the stress of medical costs. On December 28, he took a major fall, striking his chest and abdomen full force. Not thinking he was hurt, he continued with his night, laughing off the incident. That night, he was in severe pain and could not even keep water down. The next day was no better and by 5pm he gave up and went to the emergency room. He was put on IV and placed in observation for tests to be run.
After 48 hours, he was released after he was able to drink 8 ounces of clear liquid. Within 3 hours of being home, he was again in severe pain and unable to swallow water. Larry’s wife, Marcia, called a doctor and was instructed to get him back to the hospital. After 3 hours, he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, and a small tear in his esophagus. 24 hours later, he is admitted. After 7 days, he was informed the fall he took bruised his stomach, gall bladder and pancreas. I’m telling you all of this to ask for help for his medical expenses. His co-payments for these services are $13,000 and that is just the beginning.
He must pay 20% of all the surgeon’s and physicians’ cost, anesthesiologist, as well as all the follow up tests for the pancreas and the heart stint. We are trying to raise $ 20,000 dollars to help him meet his medical costs and take some of the stress off of him. He needs time to heal without worrying about these expenses.
